Ducati celebrate their Italian heritage with limited-run £48,000 Panigale V4 Tricolore superbike

Meet the Ducati Panigale V4 Tricolore: a £48,000 special edition superbike that will be limited to just 1000 units worldwide, built in celebration of the Bologna brand’s Italian heritage.

Launched in Miami on Sunday, December 8, the bike is set apart from the 2025 standard Panigale V4S by a special new red, white, and green Tricolore paint job designed by Aldo Drudi (the man also responsible for Valentino Rossi’s iconic crash helmets). There’s also a front number board reminiscent of the Panigale V4R and Multistrada Pikes Peak.

Each individually numbered machine will be based on the new-for-2025 Panigale V4, which produces a claimed 213bhp at 13,500rpm from its 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine. It joins a host of other Tricolore specials that began with the 851 Desmoquattro V-twin back in 1988.

“In Miami and at Art Basel in particular we feel at home,” Director of Ducati’s Strategy and Style Centre, Andrea Ferraresi said. “Ducati is the only motorcycle brand able not only to combine sophisticated technology and sensual beauty, but also to break out of the typical schemes of sport liveries to create works of art, using the motorcycle as a canvas.”

This special edition is about more than just colours though, with a host of additional accessories designed to help the Panigale lap a racetrack faster.

Building on the already advanced standard equipment comes five-spoke carbon fibre rims – cutting 950 grams of unsprung mass, when compared with Ducati’s forged alternatives. According to Ducati, this further reduces the moment of inertia by 12% at the front, and 19% at the rear – helping the bike to change direction faster.

On top of this, there’s also a pair of finned front Brembo T-Drive discs measuring a hefty 338.5mm across and 6.2mm across – said to be a world first for a road-going production motorcycle.

As before, these are combined with Brembo Hypure calipers, plus an MCS 19.21 master cylinder – as used in MotoGP and World Superbikes.

On top of this, there’s dry clutch kit for that signature Ducati rattle, plus adjustable aluminium footpegs, and a GPS module to go through your riding data between track sessions.

A carbon fibre blanking plate for the numberplate bracket also comes as standard – plus a dedicated animation on the 6.9-inch TFT dash, Alcantara seat, and machined aluminium number board.

Further neat touches include a specially designed ignition key, motorcycle cover, and a certificate of authenticity.
