Husqvarna Norden 901 to get subtle tech and styling tweaks

The Husqvarna Norden 901 paralleltwin adventure bike is receiving subtly updated styling and a handful of new features for 2024.

The 889cc, KTM-derived machine was launched in 2022, largely based on the Austrian firm’s 890 Adventure – but with different styling and a more rugged, off-road attitude.

An Expedition version – with longer-travel suspension and extra touring comfort including a taller screen – was added earlier this year.

Now, the historic Swedish brand, which has been under KTM ownership since 2013, has announced further changes to its flagship model.

Most obviously, a new grey and yellow colour scheme gives the 2024 Husqvarna Norden 901 a fresher look compared to the mostly black original.

The lean-sensitive traction control system has been updated too, and now offers no fewer than 10 different levels of rear wheel ‘slip’, which can be selected when the optional Explorer mode is engaged.

There’s also a new USB charging port located next to the TFT dash, new hazard warning lights and a revised exhaust that has been designed to ensure that the Norden meets Euro5+ regulations.

The big Husky is otherwise unchanged, with the same claimed 105bhp peak power output and 73.8lb.ft of torque, tubular steel frame, bespoke bodywork incorporating a distinctive round headlight and a 19-litre fuel tank.

Being based around a KTM, you’ll also find WP Apex suspension front and rear, spoked rims with tubeless Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres, four selectable riding modes, a slipper clutch, and an up/down quickshifter as standard.
