The theme this year is a rekindling of the old rivalry between Neil Hodgson and Chris Walker who line up on the same grid for the first time in over 20 years but they are joined by illustrious company in the form of Peter Hickman, John McGuinness, James Whitham, Tim Neave and flattrack specialist Jack Bell.

The racing takes place on a flat oval in the middle of the ExCel Arena and, although the bikes are small and the track is tight, the action is serious with elbows and knees well and truly out.

There was no love lost on Valentine’s Day as the first day of wheel-to-wheel battling saw plenty of contact, hard lunges up the inside and even a little showboating – culminating in a coming together between the old foes Walker and Hodgson that brought a red flag to proceedings.

Away from the racing, there’s also plenty of opportunity to hear stories from the men themselves over on the MCN World of Bikes Stage where Hicky and McPint are commentating an onboard lap of the TT course and Hodgson and Walker discus their rivalry in the early noughties.

And if all that’s not enough, we’ll be joined by current MotoGP racer Pedro Acosta on Saturday and British Moto2 race winner Jake Dixon on Sunday PLUS Isle of Man TT legend Michael Dunlop will be dropping by too.
