Meet the Charley Boorman’s Adventure Base Camp experts…

The Sidecar Guys

Co-hosts and presenters with Charley Boorman are the ‘Sidecar Guys’ Matt Bishop and Reece Gilkes. Matt and Reece hold the Guinness World Record for the longest journey by scooter and sidecar. During a 15-month trip they travelled for 34,000 miles through 35 countries and 5 continents to successfully circumnavigate the globe. They run a sidecar experience centre in the North East of England and are the hosts of The Armchair Adventure Festival.

Nathan Millward

Nathan is a motorcycle journalist, tour guide and adventurer. He began his travels on a Honda CT110, riding it from Sydney to London and then across America up to Alaska. He now runs Dorothy’s Speed Shop, a tour company based out of North Devon. He’ll be talking about downsizing and how a smaller bike can make for a big adventure.

Steph Jeavons

In 2014 Steph Jeavons left the UK on a 4-year mission to ride around the world on her Honda CRF250L. Steph achieved her ambition of riding on all seven continents and returned to Wales in 2018. She’s had many more adventures since, including leading an all-women group of bikers to Everest Base Camp.

Guliafshan Tariq

Guliafshan Tariq is a trailblazing Pakistani woman who has made history in adventure travel. With almost no support from her family or community, she taught herself how to ride and set out on a journey to discover her country – winning accolades along the way.

Simon and Lisa Thomas

Lisa and Simon help define ‘Adventure Motorcycling’. In 2003 they headed out to explore the planet on two off-road motorcycles. They spent the next 17-years riding over 500,000 miles and exploring some of the harshest and most remote regions on earth. Their life of adventure has been fast-paced and often tough, but always extraordinary.
