Top bike reviews

  • VOGE DS800X RALLY (2025-on)

    MCN rating
    3 out of 5 (3/5)

As a proper dual sport adventure tourer, the DS800X Rally takes a major step forward from its more tarmac biased siblings.

  • BUELL 1190SX (2025-on)

    MCN rating
    3 out of 5 (3/5)

It will appeal to Buell enthusiasts but won’t tempt riders away from mainstream brands

  • HARLEY-DAVIDSON LOW RIDER (2025-on)

    MCN rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

Once you get used to it, the sensation of sitting in, rather than on, the bike makes charging about on the Low Rider a scream!

  • BSA SCRAMBLER (2025-on)

    MCN rating
    3 out of 5 (3/5)

BSA nail the looks, but the ride needs tweaking to match the style.

  • BSA BANTAM (2025-on)

    MCN rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

It undercuts all the competition on price, while leading the pack on performance

  • HONDA CUV E (2025-on)

    MCN rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

With ever more low and zero emission zones and 20mph speed limits becoming part of everyday life in the UK, battery-powered scooters like the new CUV e make perfect sense for commuting

  • BMW R1300RS (2025-on)

    MCN rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

The RS utterly eviscerates distance in a barrage of pulsating torque

  • BIMOTA TESI H2 TERA (2025-on)

    MCN rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

The supercharged inline-four might be one of the most entertaining and addictive experiences since two-strokes faded away

  • VOGE DS900X (2024-on)

    MCN rating
    3 out of 5 (3/5)

Mid-sized adventurer ticks all the option boxes and still comes in under £10k

  • YAMAHA TDM900 (2002-2011)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

This is an update on my original review left in Dec 2005 - Yes I've owned it for 20 years!. The bike is now on almost 80k miles, still going strong and covering 8-10k miles a year over the last couple of years.

  • KTM 125 DUKE (2024-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

As a first bike, and with current offers for £900 off the new bike list price, taking it down to £3999 OTR, this is great value for money.Great spec and safety features as standard and achieving over 100mpg it's cheap to run. The first few hundred miles can test patience a little until...

  • ENFIELD SHOTGUN 650 (2024-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

Nice low seat height. Weight is all pretty low down so feels lighter than it's numbers would suggest. Poor turning circle, quite restricted steering lock. Value for money +++.

  • TRIUMPH DAYTONA 955I (1997-2006)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

I bought my '06 jet Black Beauty new in 2007. Since then I have completed nearly 70,000 crash free miles, mostly in the San Francisco Bay Area. I love this bike and recently put on a Delkevic 9" slip-on can just to make it even more fun. At around 50,000 miles I had to replace the R/R and stator...

  • SUZUKI GSX-8S (2023-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

For the current offer price of £7500 I can't fault it, feels like a lot more bike, both in how it rides and its physical presence compared to the competition. A quality, well built, nice sounding, lovely riding & handling machine with a very muscular engine. It's a joy on short B road blasts,...

  • DUCATI SCRAMBLER 1100 (2018-2019)

    Overall owners' rating
    4 out of 5 (4/5)

Love it. Excellent handling on our local Twisties (Adelaide Hills). Powerful enough though I do get tempted to go one tooth smaller on the front and wind the traction control back before I remember why I like this bike...it's just enough as it is.

  • SUZUKI V-STROM 800DE (2023-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    5 out of 5 (5/5)

Comfort and the standard rack, give it a chance, I tried a Tracer 7, so glad I went for the de, tracer not in in the same game

  • VOGE 300 RALLY (2023-on)

    Overall owners' rating
    3 out of 5 (3/5)

Cheap and cheerful bike that you can enjoy without worrying about it. Tons of cheap accessories available from Aliexpress. Fun times .

  • TRIUMPH TIGER 900 (1993-1998)

    Overall owners' rating
    3 out of 5 (3/5)

Comfortable on long rides, looks good (if you’re into that sort of thing), personally I lowered mine and it didn’t significantly affect the ride. Issues around sprag clutch and price/availability of replacement parts was a minus. Trying to move the bike was like attempting to move a small...
