Now, the 2018 BSB champion will make appearances on the world stage at the following events:

  • R4 – Misano (June 10-12)
  • R5 – Donington Park (July 15-17)
  • R6 – Most (July 29-31)
  • R9 – Portimao (October 7-9)

“I am super excited,” Haslam said. “I’ve known Lucio for so many years and actually raced against him back in the day when I first started. I did a one-off wildcard with the team in Qatar a few years back and managed to finish in the top five and I have a lot of fond memories of being a part of the team.

“To be able to come back and ride with them again after all these years is really exciting for me and I hope we can achieve some good results together. The focus of course is BSB, but we have been able to find a solution that will see me return to the WorldSBK for these four races and I am really looking forward to it.”

Haslam isn’t the only BSB rider making wildcard appearances this year. Reigning champion Tarran Mackenzie will make his debut at Assen (R2 – April 22-24), before racing at Donington Park and one other European circuit which is yet to be confirmed. Haslam will be racing a full WSB factory-spec Yamaha R1 with his McAMS Yamaha team.

The 2022 WSB season gets underway at Aragon this weekend.
