WSB: Camier testing Magneti Marelli at Monteblanco

1 of 1

Leon Camier and the Red Bull Honda World Superbike team are a last minute addition to the Bennetts British Superbike Championship teams testing at the Monteblanco circuit in Spain.

Camier and the Ten Kate squad are testing the Magneti Marelli electronics system they are hoping to switch to this season after a parts shortage meant they were unable to make the switch from the Cosworth system they have previously used in time for the first round at Phillip Island.

Camier showed potential for the Red Bull outfit with seventh and sixth placed finishes in Australia, and has headed to Monteblanco to evaluate the Magneti system ahead of the proposed switch.

However, should Honda decide to make the move to Marelli this season, they must run the new system from the first European round at Aragon next month – hence the need for this week’s test.
