WSS: Kennedy to stand in for Hill at Profile Triumph

Jack Kennedy will return to the World Supersport Championship for two rounds with the Profile Triumph from Imola next weekend.

Stepping in for the injured Stefan Hill, the Irishman will join Luke Stapleford in the British outfit for both Imola and their home round at Donington Park two weeks’ later.

Kennedy was previously a WSS regular before moving back to Britain to compete in the British Superbike class, but after two difficult seasons on the 1000cc he moved back to his Supersport roots with the GAC MV Agusta team this year.

“I’m really looking forward to riding for Profile Racing at the next two rounds of the World Supersport Championship,” Kennedy said. “I appreciate the opportunity they’re giving me and would also like to give big thanks to my team boss, Dave Tyson, GAC MV Agusta for agreeing to it.

“It’s a completely new bike for me but we can use the first round to get dialled in and then look to Donington to take it up a notch. It’ll be great to be back battling in World Supersport. I think it can only benefit my championship as with the long summer break in British Supersport it’s the perfect way to keep bike fit and sharp so I can come back raring to go.”
