Biaggi tweet threatens Qatar return

A twitter comment by part-time World SBK superstar Max Biaggi (Aprilia Racing) has apparently threatened his inclusion in the starting-grid at Losail for the WorldSBK finale this coming weekend.

Biaggi, who would make it three wild card starts in 2015 if he does make to the grid on Sunday, has been testing hard in Losail but a mountain bike accident has thrown his chances of a final on track wave-off to the year into some degree of doubt.

The translation of his original tweet is, roughly, “Hello everyone, unfortunately yesterday, because of a fall in training on a mountain bike, are perhaps for the Qatar race. Difficult time.”

Although the English translation is somewhat unclear Italian-speaking sources suggest that the meaning is clear enough – there may or may not be maybe a race for him in Qatar.

Further details are not yet known but he raced on after injuring himself, to the shoulder and leg, shortly before his most recent wildcard weekend in Sepang.
