Xavier Forés to take over for Bayliss

Spanish rider Xavier Forés will take over from Troy Bayliss for the next two rounds of the 2015 World Superbike Championship, deputising for the injured Davide Giugliano onboard the Aruba.it factory Ducati.

The twenty nine year old is no stranger to superbike racing, as the defending IDM German superbike champion on the 3C Racing Ducati. He will step up to the factory team for both his home round of Aragon and for Assen.

WSB legend Bayliss, who returned for two rounds in Australasia to replace the injured Italian, announced his permanent retirement after last week’s race in Thailand. Giugliano, meanwhile, is continuing to convalesce, and expects a return to training next week as he recovers from three broken vertebrae.
