Former BBC MotoGP frontman Matt Roberts will join the Eurosport team for 2014, as the face of their British and World Superbike coverage, replacing Tony Carter for the live Sunday shows.

Roberts will join Jamie Whitham, Jack Burnicle, James Haydon and Steve Day as the channel ups their coverage in lieu of the demise of MotoGP. The new extended coverage will now see BSB’s Saturday qualifying and Supersport race shown live as well as Sunday’s full program.

Roberts, who has been the latest of the former BBC team to rule themselves out of the new BT Sport team still to be announced, said: “I’m really excited about joining the British Eurosport team. The British Superbike series is a really vibrant and competitive championship and I’m looking forward to getting on-site and round some of the iconic British tracks in the company of the two Jameses.”
