Free access to Silverstone WSB paddock on Thursday

The FIM Superbike World Championship heads to Silverstone on Friday 30 July to Sunday 01 August, providing UK fans with their only opportunity to see the seven British World Superbike regulars racing on home soil.  
 
As a preview to one of the circuit’s biggest events of the season, Silverstone will be opening its gates on Thursday 29 July. Anyone who has purchased a ticket for the Friday, Saturday or Sunday of Silverstone’s round of World Superbikes will have free access to the exclusive World Superbike Paddock. The Paddock will be open from 12:00 to 17:00hrs on Thursday 29 July.
 
In addition to soaking up the pre-event atmosphere, once inside the Paddock fans will be given rare access to the official pre-event Press Conference. A number of the World Superbike riders, including championship-leader Max Biaggi and the seven British riders, will be attending and providing their thoughts on the race weekend ahead.
 
The Press Conference will be followed by an autograph signing session, providing fans with an opportunity to meet their favourite WSBK riders. Taking place in the SBK Paddock Show display area, between 14:00 and 17:00hrs, different teams and riders will be appearing at various times throughout the session.

Suzuki Alstare – Leon Haslam (GB – 2nd in championship)
Hannspree Ten Kate Honda – Jonathan Rea (GB – 3rd in championship)
Althea Ducati – Shane Byrne (GB – 12th in championship)
Ducati Xerox – Noriyuki Haga (JPN – 5th in championship)
Yamaha Sterilgarda – James Toseland (GB – 6th in championship) & Cal Crutchlow (GB – 10th in championship)
BMW Motorrad – Ruben Xaus (ESP – 13th in championship)
Kawasaki Racing Team – Tom Sykes (GB – 16th in championship) & Akira Yanagawa (JPN – first race in 2010)
 
Timings for Thursday 29 July:
12:00hrs                            World Superbike Paddock open to event ticket-holders
13:00hrs                            Official pre-event Press Conference
14:00 to 17:00hrs             Autograph session
 
Tickets for the race weekend, guaranteeing free access on Thursday, are available at advanced prices via www.silverstone.co.uk, or by calling 0844 3728 260.
 
After midday on Wednesday 28 July, tickets switch to the ‘On the Day’ price but can still be purchased on the gate, or in advance for collection at the circuit.
