Shakeys Byrne's first outing

Here are some images from Shane “Shakey” Byrne’s first test outing on the Sterilgarda Ducati in Portugal on Tuesday morning.

Shakey was on track with other top riders such as Ben Spies, Tom Sykes and Max Biaggi. Shakey finished the day second overall behind Spies who was initially on the 2008 Yamaha R1 (which he set the fastest time on) before switching to the new and undeveloped 2009 ‘big bang’ bike.

Shakey’s first run on the bike saw him post lap times which were within a couple of tenths of what Max Biaggi had achieved at the race weekend.
