Monza World Supersport: Foret takes the win

Fabien Foret took the win in the Monza round of the World Supersport championship.

Foret had to work his way through the pack as he got off to a slow start with team-mate Broc Parkes in the lead, but by lap three he had already taken second place from Josh Brookes.

It didn’t take long until he took the lead from Parkes on lap 9, keeping it to the flag.

Brookes managed to catch Parkes and take the second place on the podium leaving Parkes a lonely second half of the race in third place.

Craig Jones had a difficult race but looked to have turned it round with two laps to go, out-breaking four riders to take fourth place.

But his success wasn’t long lived as both Andrew Pitt and Robin Harms muscling through to leave Jones in sixth at the flag.

Chris Walker, Graham Gowland and Garry MacCoy all went down in the first corner of lap one.
