Updated: 24 November 2014

Troy Corser put a stop to Ducati’s utter domination of the Superpole qualifying session at Misano to take pole position, his 42nd of his distinguished career.
The Yamaha Italia rider was slower than pace setter Troy Bayliss through the first two splits but somehow managed to claw the time back and become the first and only rider to dip into the 1m 35s all weekend.
Second place went to Bayliss with Ruben Xaus (Sterilgarda Ducati) third, Michel Fabrizio (Xerox Ducati fourth, Max Biaggi (Sterilgarda Ducati) fifth, Lorenzo Lanzi (R.G Team Ducati) sixth and Jacob Smrtz (Guandalini Ducati) seventh.
Title contenders Max Neukirchner, Carlos Checa and Noriyuki Haga claimed 10th, 11th and 14th places respectively.
