Nurburgring World Supersport: Broc Parkes fastest again, Tommy Hill in top ten

1 of 1

Australian Broc Parkes continued his domination of the World Supersport class by topping the time sheets once again at the Nurburgring.

The Yamaha rider has previous knowledge of the track and is building on this knowledge in every session and remains confident in either the wet or dry conditions.

Second place went to Andrew Pitt who is pushing his fellow countryman all the way with series leader Joan Lascorz making a big step from yesterday to set the third fastest time.

Craig Jones spent the session completing two long runs and experimenting with two different rear tyres. Jones currently sits on the provisional front row with his time from yesterday and with rain forecast this afternoon these times could stand.

Jonathan Rea went faster than he did yesterday but finished up in eighth spot just one place ahead of a resurgent Tommy Hill.

After his problems yesterday where he was forced to miss a lot of time in both sessions due to technical problems, Hill got to complete 17 uninterrupted laps which included just one stop.

The Hannspree Altea Honda man set his quickest lap on a worn front tyre but after qualifying in 29th place yesterday desperately needs the weather to stay dry so that he can have a chance to move up the grid for tomorrows 19 lap race.
