Nurburgring World Superbikes: Troy Bayliss sets the pace in final free practice

Troy Bayliss slashed over half a second off his provisional pole setting lap during the in final free practice session finishing 0.399 seconds faster than his closest rival Max Neukirchner.

Yamaha’s Noriyuki Haga led the session early on but was relegated to third ahead of team-mate Troy Corser in fourth.

Michel Fabrizio put in his best time on his last lap to go fifth on the Xerox Ducati with Xaus sixth and Carlos Checa improving to take seventh.

Max Biaggi continued his good form finishing up in eighth place after qualifying third fastest this morning.
