Qatar World Supersport: Joan Lascorz fastest, Brits on pace

Spaniard Joan Lascorz was the surprise package of the second free practice session by securing top spot onboard his Glaner Motocard.com Honda in Qatar this morning.

The 22-year-old showed his potential in 2007 with one podium to his credit and looks set to be yet another rider capable of podiums and even race wins in 2008.

Yesterday’s provisional pole man Fabien Foret ended the session in second place with Frenchman Mathieu Lagrive in third and fellow Honda man Gianluca Nannelli in fourth.

Top Brit was Craig Jones in fifth, who appears to have overcome the technical problems he experienced yesterday with Jonathan Rea in seventh.

Triumph rider Garry McCoy had a positive session to finish ninth whilst World Supersport rookies Graeme Gowland finished up in 13th with Chris Walker in 14th place.
