Remembering Craig Jones

I am sure that everyone feels just as I do right now, on learning that Craig Jones has secumbed to the injuries he received in the horrific accident at Clearways, on Sunday, when competing in the World Supersport race at Brands Hatch.

Living in N.Ireland and being a keen supporter of all forms of motorcycle racing his passing has left an emptiness in my stomach. What a waste of a great talent.

My thoughts go out to his family, team and fellow racers. I met Craig along with some friends of mine in Finnegan’s bar in Valentia, when we were out there in ’06 for the World Superbikes. He was a very likeable guy and I hope the attached photo will help us to remember the lighter side of this sometimes cruel sport.
