Brands Hatch World Superbikes: Troy Bayliss tops the time sheets in second qualifying session

At Brands Hatch this morning Ducati Xerox rider Troy Bayliss topped the time sheets in the World Superbike qualifying session, leaving Ryuichi Kiyonari, fastest rider in yesterday’s session, in very close second place.

With a fastest lap of 1’25.898, Bayliss beat Kiyonari by a little over two hundredths of a second. Following closely in third place was Max Neukirchner on his Team Alstare Suzuki GSX-R1000, with a time of 1’25.958, meaning less than one tenth of a second seperated the top 3 riders today.

Troy Corser, who finished 7th in yesteryday’s session, put in a time of 1’26.030 to claim 4th position on the time sheets.

British riders Tom Sykes and Chris Walker took 10th and 23rd place respectively.
