Valencia World Supersport: Joan Lascorz dominant in second free practice

Spaniard Joan Lascorz dipped under the Valencia track record on his way to setting the fastest time in this morning’s second Free Practice session.

Lascorz has already impressed in 2008 by taking a podium in the opening round of the championship at Qatar and looks set to be fighting for another top placing in this weekend’s race.

Yamaha’s Broc Parkes claimed second spot but was still a massive 0.749 seconds off the blistering pace of Joan Lascorz.

Italian Gianluca Nannelli claimed third spot on his Hannspree Altea Honda with provisional pole man Andrew Pitt in fourth after he recovered from a slow speed crash.

Frenchman Fabien Foret was pleased with his seventh place finish after crashing heavily yesterday and suffering concussion.

Another big winner was Garry McCoy onboard the SC Triumph who jumped up the time sheets to tenth after only just scrapping in to the top 20 yesterday.
