Bayliss backs Kagayama at Brno

Reigning World champion Troy Bayliss has backed last years double race winner Yukio Kagayama to win again at Brno as it will take valuable points away from his rivals.  Bayliss currently lies in second position in this years title fight 21 points behind Britons James Toseland and is looking at damage limitation at the Czech track where he and the Ducati have historically struggled.
Speaking exclusively to MCN, Bayliss said:
“I think Yuki (Kagayama) will be strong here like he was last year and if I want anyone else to win I’d like it to be him because he can take points away from the other guys.
“I’d like to be able to go home right now before this race even starts and still be the same 21 points behind the lead. I’m not sure how this weekend is going to go and I’m a bit concerned about it. I’ve got a good feeling about all the tracks for the rest of the year, but for some reason Brno doesn’t do much for me – I can take it or leave it. There is just too long between corners so you spend ages not doing anything. Maybe my bike needs a bit more speed! You end up waiting for each corner but I like it a bit busier.
“Last year was difficult for us but I’m confident this year will be better and hopefully I won’t be involved in a crash at turn one like I was before.”
