JT fastest in Valencia

James Toseland has posted the quickest time at today’s test in Valencia, 0.7 seconds faster than his rivals.

Toseland has been testing his two identical bikes on the opening day of the test in Spain, both now fitted with Kenny Roberts swing-arms. The 2006 runner-up has also been working with different suspension settings and some updated electronics.

He has easily been the fastest World Superbike rider, clocking a best lap of 1.35.7.

The times are significantly slower than those posted at the official Pirelli test in November due to a colder track temperature, windy conditions, and the fact all the riders are using the 2006 spec tyres, and not the latest generation development Pirellis.
