Changing my support from Max to JT

I’ve been a huge Max Biaggi fan for years but didn’t have the time off work or the money to go see a live race.

That is until last weekend at Donington.

I jumped in the car and travelled hundreds of miles, spent hundreds of pounds on tickets, b&b, petrol etc and had the best weekend ever.

I spent time with James Toseland, Noriyuki Haga, Troy Bayliss and Bussei Giovanni. I also met a few BSB guys and had a laugh with the old timers.

But to my great disappointment Max completely blanked me several times.

I didn’t give up and waited by his garage until he showed up sometime after 6pm on the Saturday evening and even then I had to shove my programme in his face so he’d sign it.

He was my hero and he made me feel so worthless. I still cheered for him on race day and celebrated his two podiums but my heart is telling me to support the real hero’s……..my Toseland T-shirt is on order.
