WEC rookie rewarded

World Endurance rider Alex cudlin has been awarded the title of Rookie of the Year for 2006, receiving 59 per cent of votes cast by fans.

The 19-year-old Australian races for the British Diablo 666 team, riding alongside England’s James Hutchins and Estonian Marko Rohtlaan. He’s also the younger brother of Phase One team rider Damian.

Second place was Jaroslav Cerny. The UK-based Diablo 666 is currently sixth in the title standings with the final race of the season, the Bol D’Or 24 Hours, to take place on September 17 and 17, 2006.
