Corser tops WSB times

Troy Corser has topped the free practice times for the final round of the World Superbike championship at Magny-Cours in France.

Despite fellow Australian Troy Bayliss winning the championship at the previous round, many riders will be looking for a good result to aid their contract negotiations for next year. Corser posted a fastest time of 1:41.049 on the Alstare Suzuki to head Britain’s James Toseland with 1:41.255, Noriyuki Haga with 1:41.312, and Bayliss with 1:41.385.

Chris Walker was sixth fastest with 1:41.531, with fellow Brit Craig Jones in 25th with 1:44.561. Foggy-Petronas team-mate Steve Martin was 11th quickest on the final race for the FP-1 machine.
