Hodgson 3rd in race 1

Neil Hodgson took third place on the podium behind the Suzuki’s of Matt Mladin and Aaron Yates in the first race at the fourth round of the American Superbike championship.

Mladin was totally untouchable during the two part race. As soon as the lights changed he had a huge lead and he managed to extend it to 6 seconds before the red flag came out.

On the re-start he did the same thing again leaving Hodgson to ride most of the race on his own.

With five laps to go Hodgson was caught by Mladin’s team-mate Aaron Yates who managed to slip passed the British rider and take second place.
