Double win for Laconi

Regis Laconi took a double win at the Misano round of the World Superbike championship.

The French rider led both races to an identical first-four order with Chris Vermeulen taking two second places, Troy Corser two thirds and James Toseland a double fourth.

The first race was full of drama with a crash on the fifth lap causing a restart and confusion with the light sequence catching out a whole bunch of riders causing the race to be restarted for a second time.

Fifth place in race one went to Lorenzo Lanzi followed by Noriyuki Haga and Frankie Chili, with Brit Chris Walker taking eighth.

The second race was less eventfull with the same riders taking the top four slots followed by Chili, Haga, Karl Muggeridge and Steve Martin.
