Corser on Brno pole

1 of 1

Troy Corser has put his Suzuki GSX-R1000 on pole position for the Brno round of the World Superbike championship.

Corser pulled out all the stops in the Superpole session after being beaten to second place in qualifying by Brit Chris Walker.

Walker topped both the qualifying sessions but he couldn’t better the stuning time he set on Friday and slipped down to sixth place on the grid after Superpole. The Kawasaki rider was nevertheless very pleased with the result having never set a provisional pole in WSB before.

Current champion James Toseland takes second place on the grid followed by rising star Max Neukirchner.

Honda riding Chris Vermeulen finishes the front row of the grid followed by team-mate Karl Muggeridge, Walker, Yukio Kagayama and Jose Louis Cardoso.
