Castrol Suzuki has secured the World Endurance championship after winning the Oschersleben 24 hour race, which saw the MCN-backed British team Kawasaki Diablo 666 finish in third.

After taking the win at the penultimate race in terrible conditions the Suzuki team are now 45 points ahead and well beyond the reach of second placed Bolliger Kawasaki with Diablo 666 now in third in the championship.

The MCN-backed Diablo team crashed out of the previous round at Suzuki and the return to the podium has left the team ecstatic, especially at a track where they had never completed a race before.

Miles Hutchins, Team principle: “It really does make all the hard work worthwhile. What a reward and what a fantastic result for Diablo 666 and Bolliger Kawasaki. Thank-you to all the Team riders, Mechanics and helpers who had a hand in making this result possible.”

The team is now looking forward for the fight for second place with partner team Bolliger Kawasaki at the final race of the championship at Vallelunga, Italy on September 26.
