Supersport 1st qualifying

Sebastien Charpontier has topped the first qualifying session for the Valencia round of the World Supersport championship, just beating teammate Katsuaki Fujiwara.

The two riders lead the way in the opening practice session with Fujiwara taking the top spot, then continued to dominate the opening qualifying. But this time Charpentier managed to get the better of his Ten Kate teammate and finish with a best time of 1:38.351.

Team Megabike Honda rider Fabien Foret took the third spot on the provisional grid with Yamaha R6 rider Victor Carrasco taking the final place on the front row of the provisional grid.

Aussie Kevin Curtain starts the second row followed by Michel Fabrizio, Javi Fores and Gianluca Nannelli finishing the top eight.
