Chili to ride a Kawasaki

1 of 1

The PSG-1 team, which currently fields Pier-Francesco Chili, has announced it will switch to running Kawasaki ZX-10Rs in 2005.

The brief statement has not named riders for next season, but has stated a commitment to running two riders in the 2005 World Superbike championship and one rider in the European Superstock championship. The PSG-1 Kawasaki Corse Team will start getting used to the green machines within the next week, with a bike already with the technical staff based in San Marino.

There’s no word as to what this means for popular WSB veteran Pier-Francesco Chili, who has ridden Ducatis for the majority of his career int he series. The only break from the Bologna firm’s bikes was his three years at the Alstare Suzuki team. The 38-year-old is currently fourth in the 2004 championship, 41 points behind James Toseland.

Will Frankie Chili move to a Kawasaki? Or do you think he will be riding elsewhere next year? Post your thoughts on the WSB message board, here.
