Martin on Misano provisional pole

Australian Steve Martin has put his D.F.X. Ducati 998 on provisional pole for Sunday’s World Superbike races in Misano.
Martin posted a best time of 1:35.276, just ahead of Pierfrancesco Chili (1:35.290) and Regis Laconi (1:35.365), also riding 998s.
Fourth went to Ruben Xaus (1:35.365), fifth to Lucio Pedercini (1:35.571), and in sixth is the current points leader, Britain’s Neil Hodgson (1:35.781). The GSE Ducati riders James Toseland (1:36.022) and Chris Walker (1:36.066) are next, with Mauro Sanchini (1:36.094) and Gregorio Lavilla (1:36.225) rounding out the top ten.
