Edwards – the Aprilia deal in his words

Early this morning (UK time) Colin Edwards wrote to users of motorcyclenews.com in our Racing – WSB section about his forthcoming deal to ride the Aprilia RS3 in MotoGP.

He wrote: ” Friday is D-Day. As soon as I find something out it will be up here before you know it.

” Actually if you check back here at about 2pm UK time on Fri. it should be up. Come on over to ceracing.com and we will have a live chat (maybe, I’ll have to check) in the next few days.

On Thursday Edwards exclusively revealed to MCN that he, in his own words is ” 98 per cent certain ” to ride for Aprilia on the RS3 four-stroke in MotoGP in 2003.

He told MCN: ” The wheels are turning, but I’m virtually certain this is a deal that can be done. I’ve spoken to Michelin and the deal to supply me tyres looks good – this is what it’s all hinged around.

” The next 24 hours will be crucial – watch this space! ”
