Davey Todd will contest the 2024 Isle of Man TT and other road racing events onboard a BMW M1000RR after signing a deal with TAS Racing.

Todd will run under the Milwaukee BMW by TAS Racing banner next season after leaving the Milenco by Padgett’s Motorcycles Honda team earlier this year. The 27-year-old started 2023 with Clive Padgett’s squad having secured his first TT podiums and the National Superstock title in 2022.

The North Yorkshire rider was unable to make it back onto the TT podium in 2023, securing a best result of fourth in the Superstock race and second Supersport race. Struggles in BSB saw the team withdraw from the Superbike class.

Todd will return to BSB with TAS Racing at the end of this season when he takes part in the final two rounds of the year at Donington Park and Brands Hatch.

“I’m really excited to be joining TAS Racing and the Milwaukee BMW team, and to start with them on the BSB grid for the final two rounds is superb,” Todd said. “The team has had a lot of success over the years on the roads, and having spent some time with the boys already I know I have a top group of people around me and an equally great package in the Milwaukee BMW M1000RR.”

TAS Racing are one of the most successful teams at the TT having collected 18 race wins and 44 podiums so far. The team withdrew from the 2023 TT when rider Ian Hutchinson was unable to compete after suffering a stroke whilst cycling in Spain. Hutchinson’s race licence was revoked for 12 months, which is standard protocol.

“Due to unavoidable circumstances, we missed our first TT for 23 years this year and this allowed us to really appreciate what we have in the TT,” Philip Neill, Milwaukee BMW by TAS Racing, Team Principal said.

“Both my father and I are looking forward to having TAS Racing back on the IOM in 2024 and we are especially pleased to continue our relationship with Milwaukee and BMW Motorrad who each provide unrivalled support for our efforts.

“Davey is one of the most exciting prospects in racing. We are extremely happy that he will join us for 2024 and we can’t wait to get started with preparation.”
