Roads: McGuinness and Jessopp join PBM for Macau

John McGuinness will be back in action at this year’s Macau Grand Prix after signing a deal to ride for Paul Bird’s Be Wiser Ducati squad.

Reigning Macau Champion Glenn Irwin opted not to return to the event for 2018 with PBM turning to 23-time TT winner McGuinness and Martin Jessopp to field the TAK CHUN Racing by PBM-branded Ducati.

McGuinness is no stranger to the PBM squad having won TTs with the Cumbrian squad as well as the 2001 Macau Grand Prix.

It will be the Morecambe Missile’s first time back at an international roads event since breaking his leg at the 2017 North West 200. He recently returned to competitive action at the Classic TT, winning the 500cc Senior race.

This year’s Macau Grand Prix takes place between 15th and 18th November.
