Roads: 2018 North West 200 & Ulster Grand Prix dates confirmed
The dates for Northern Ireland’s two international road races have been confirmed this week with organisers for both the North West 200 and Ulster Grand Prix announcing their 2018 dates.
In a slight change to recent year’s dates, the North West 200 will move one week later for 2018 with race week taking place between 13th and 19th May, with practice getting underway on Tuesday 15th May and racing on the evening of Thursday 17th before racing on Saturday 19th.
In announcing the 2018 dates, NW200 boss Mervyn Whyte also confirmed that 2017 feature race winner Glenn Irwin will return to the triangle circuit on the Be Wiser Ducati next year.

Ulster Grand Prix bosses have also confirmed their plans for next year, with the traditional mid-August date remaining for the world’s fastest road race.
Bike week will take place between 5th and 11th August with practice sessions getting underway on Wednesday 8th August before racing on the afternoon of Thursday 9th August and Saturday 11th August.
Ulster Grand Prix Clerk of the Course Noel Johnston also confirmed that changes will be on the horizon for the schedule in 2018 with a further announcement expected on October 2nd.
