TT 2016: Holden and Winkle lead way in opening sidecar session

John Holden and Andy Winkle got off to an ideal start to the 2016 Isle of Man TT, setting the fastest lap in Monday night’s opening sidecar session.

The Silicone Engineering duo’s lap of 112.055mph placed them ahead of the Yamaha-powered duo of Ian and Carl Bell in the evening’s session.

The Birchall Brothers placed third ahead of Alan Founds and Aki Aalto with the Cumbria Express team fourth and leading Suzuki with Tony and Fiona Baker.

Steve and Matty Ramsden were fifth ahead of Wayne Lockey and Mark Sayers on the Real Racing Honda. Gary Bryan and Jamie Winn took eigth ahead of Matt Dix and Shaun Parker with multiple sidecar World Champion Tim Reeves rounding out the top ten with passenger Patrick Farrance.
