North West 200 abandoned after fatal accident

The remainder of today’s racing at the North West 200 has been cancelled following a fatal accident in the Supertwins race.

The incident occurred on the second lap of this afternoon’s third race and immediately brought out the red flag.

Organisers have since confirmed that the rider involved passed away. No further details have been released.
