Ulster GP: Anstey takes Supersport pole

1 of 1

Bruce Anstey took pole position in a red flagged Supersport qualifying at this year’s Ulster Grand Prix.

The Flying Kiwi’s average lap of 125.944mph saw him pip Yamaha-mounted Ian Hutchinson to the stop spot after the session was red flagged as a result of an incident at Flow Bog with eight minutes to go.

Conor Cummins will start third on the second Padgetts Honda ahead of Dean Harrison and William Dunlop.

Peter Hickman was sixth quickest on the Trooper Kawasaki, ahead of Superbike and Superstock pole man Michael Dunlop.

Dan Kneen will start eighth ahead of Paul Jordan, with Daniel Cooper rounding out the top ten.

Both Ulster Grand Prix Supersport races are scheduled to take place on Saturday.
