Dream TT continues for Hutchy with superstock win

Ian Hutchinson’s dream return to the Isle of Man TT has continued to improve, after the Bingley Bullet took his second win of the week in today’s Superstock race, holding off Michael Dunlop for his tenth ever win.

Dunlop was the early race leader, making a flying start to pull clear, but, still suffering form injuries sustained in Sunday’s Superbike TT, his pace began to drop as the race progressed, and Hutchinson was eventually able to take the flag seventeen seconds clear.

However, the battle for third wasn’t as distant, with an incredible late push from Northern Irishman Lee Johnston on the East Coast Racing BMW taking the final spot on the podium from James Hiller in the last three miles of the race by only 0.27.

An impressive performance form the fastest ever TT newcomer Peter Hickman took him to fifth behind Hillier, some twenty seconds clear of Australian David Johnson on the Smiths Racing BMW. Guy Martin, John McGuinness, Bruce Anstey and Conor Cummins rounded out the top ten.
