The start of racing at the 2015 Isle of Man TT has been hit by delays once again, after a helicopter crashed in high winds near the 33rd Milestone on the circuit early this morning.

The event was already victim to a schedule change, with today’s scheduled Superbike TT moved to Sunday. However, the combination of the incident and severe wins forecast for lunchtime has seen yet another revision to the day’s running order.

The planned morning practice session for the solo machines have now been postponed until much later, with the sidecar race scheduled to be the first track activity in anger to get underway once roads close at 4pm, after the RST Parade Lap.

  • 1600: Roads close
  • 1630: RST Parade lap
  • 1700: Sure Sidecar race (3 laps)
  • 1825-1905: Superbike/Supersport/Superstock qualifying
  • 1905-1945: Supersport/Lightweight qualifying
  • 1945: TT Zero qualifying
  • 2020: Roads re-open
