Stuart Easton's injuries and recovery

This story is in relation to Stuart Easton’s crash at the NW200. According to news reports he has broken both femurs and sustained other injuries.

I had a motorcycle accident in May 2002 in Central London where I broke both my femurs and sustained other injuries. I had to be operated on at the roadside to stabilise my condition before being airlifted to hospital, where I underwent a nine hour emergency operation to put metal pins in both legs.

I was told I may never walk again let alone go back to my career as a professional dancer. In December that same year I was dancing again!

The medical staff at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital who performed the operation described my recovery as “truly remarkable”. It will be interesting to see how Stuart Easton’s recovery goes. I wish him all the best.
