Norton perform last-minute test of bike

Norton is currently at Jurby airfield for a last minute shake down test of the Norton NRV. Rider Michael Dunlop has just arrived to put the bike through its paces with a view for it qualifying for the race later next week.

The NRV has had some technical troubles earlier in the week but the bike appears to be running well now. Michael has been lapping the Jurby airfield circuit while testing new parts on the NRV and managed a time of 1m 14s. The lap record for the circuit is only four seconds faster at 1m 10s.

Stuart Garner, the boss of Norton, has confirmed that the NRV will compete in this Friday’s senior TT.
