Southern 100 2009 images

Just a small selection of images from this years meeting and with some close up action, and close run races it proved to be a real treasure as always.

The competition is seemingly getting tighter in recent years as if it wasn’t before I hasten to add, but this really was an impressive display of riding and racecraft by some formidable road racers.

Sadly, there was the inevitable problems and mishaps that befall anyone of us at any moment, but none more so than the one which took the life of Phil Dongworth.

A personable and well natured man will be sadly missed by many.

Thankfully, even at this time it was nice to know his passenger, Stu Castles is not too seriously hurt.
