Qatar MotoGP 2016

No more testing, the 2016 MotoGP championship finally gets underway at the 3.3 mile floodlit Losail circuit, with all signs pointing towards reigning champ Jorge Lorenzo as the man to beat.

The factory Yamaha rider set an incredible 11 laps under the lap records over the winter, while his team-mate and rival Valentino Rossi only managed one.

Will Marquez finally click with the new Honda, control ECU and Michelin tyres, or will he just be an occasional annoyance for the title contenders? And let's not forget th surprise of winter testing - wunderkid Maverick Vinales, who pushed Lorenzo all the way in testing in just his second year on the Suzuki.

You only have yourself to blame

With all the arguments being made about the cost of GP racing and racing being a boring spectacle I put the blame firmly in the factory’s hands for this. There is no way factories should be charging race teams ie 250 teams £800,000 to lease a race bike. Their biggest mistakes is pricing out the private race teams. 250cc & 125cc racing is some of the best you would see at a GP but because of...

Reduced to watching German tv for MotoGP coverage

For coverage of the MotoGP events I am reduced to the German DSF channel on my Astra satellite (analogue) set up! OK if you understand German, just watch the pictures and learn. I got the gist of most of what was shown. Tried BBC 3, that was pretty awful, will never forgive Eurosport International for dumping MotoGP and the knowledgeable commentators, sadly missed.

BBC MotoGP coverage

I would just like to say that the BBC is a joke – I mean first race of the year, look on BBC1/BBC2, no MotoGP… eventually find it on BBC3… It was given to the BBC to enable more fans to be able to watch, ha! someone was having a laugh. Give it all back to Eurosport and bring back Randy.
