Moto2: Zarco steals top spot by 0.002

1 of 1

Johann Zarco has topped the opening Moto2 action at this year’s Czech Grand Prix by only 0.002, stealing the spot from Thomas Luthi and Lorenzo Baldassarri only after the Italian led for most of the session.

Takaaki Nakagami was fourth ahead of a resurgent Danny Kent in fifth, delighted with the progress he’s made since last Saturday at the Austrian Grand Prix on the Leopard Kalex after a difficult start to the season.

Fellow Brit Sam Lowes was eighth, just behind Alex Marquez and Miguel Olivera, but pleased with his pace after catching traffic during his fastest lap of the day.
