Quartararo sets the pace in Austin

Frenchman Fabio Quartararo has set the pace on the opening day of action in Austin for the Moto3 class, taking the top spot by 0.1 from fellow KTM rider Romano Fenati.

However, it was a sea of Hondas chasing after them, with Niccolo Antonelli, Jorge Navarro and Enea Bastianini behind, while Nicolo Bulega rounding out the top six on the second VR46 KTM.

Scotsman John McPhee was 23rd, but is confident that he can make progress tomorrow after switching to a faster engine for the Peugeot-branded Mahindra.
