The provisional 2025 MotoGP calendar has been published by the FIM and includes 22 races (44 including sprints), 18 countries and five continents.

The season begins with four flyways, with Thailand hosting round one on February 28 – March 2. It’s the first time in 25 years that the opening round has taken place in Southeast Asia, and the first-time ever in Thailand.

This is followed by trips to Argentina, America and Qatar, before the paddock heads to Europe for the Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez on April 25-27. Notable date changes during the European rounds include the British Grand Prix at Silverstone being moved from August to May 23-25, as well as the Aragon round which moves forward to June 6-8.

MotoGP returns to Brno for the first time since 2020 on July 18-20 after signing a five-year deal with Dorna. As things stand, Balaton Park in Hungary will make its MotoGP debut on August 22-24, pending it’s homologation.

Misano hosts the final European round of the summer on September 12-14, before the paddock heads back to Asia for the Japanese Grand Prix at Motegi on September 26-28. This is followed in quick succession by the Indonesian Grand Prix, Australian Grand Prix and Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang.

The 2025 Provisional MotoGP Calendar

MotoGP then returns to Europe for the final two rounds of 2025. Fresh from confirming its spot on the calendar for the next two seasons, Portimao will host the Portuguese Grand Prix on November 7-9. The traditional curtain closer at Valencia follows a week later on November 14-16.

Further back-to-back weekends include the trips to Mugello and Assen in June, as well as the German and Czech rounds in July. Barcelona and Misano are also on consecutive weekends in September, as are the trips to Phillip Island and Sepang in October.

Notable absentees include the Indian Grand Prix, which is due to return to the calendar in 2026. The troubled Kazakhstan Grand Prix is also missing after three failed attempts to run the even in the last two years.
