MotoGP: Two more years of Dovi and Ducati

1 of 1

Ducati have confirmed that Andrea Dovizioso will remain with the squad for two more years, ending speculation that the Italian wasn’t happy with initial contract offers from the Bologna firm and remaining with them until at least the end of the 2020 season.

The 2017 championship runner-up was reportedly unhappy with initial financial offers form the manufacturer after his successes last year. But with the deal signed during the weekend in Le Mans, it looks like those issues have now been resolved.

Who will line up alongside him remains to be seen though, with Jack Miller currently the top tip to move to the factory team. Jorge Lorenzo, his current teammate, still looks set to make the move to Suzuki, leaving the second seat open at Ducati, with Andrea Iannone now linked to a move back to the Pramac satellite team.
